Fungal infections are a complex problem of modern medicine due to the aging of the population and the growing number of patients with various kinds of immunodeficiency states. The increase of mycoses among elderly patients is associated with concomitant pulmonary pathology, oncological, systemic diseases requiring the appointment of immunosuppressants, cytostatics. The most common of the deep mycoses is pulmonary aspergillosis. If aspergillosis is suspected and in risk groups, an active examination is necessary for early diagnosis, since the disease is characterized by high mortality. Clinical forms of aspergillosis require different diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
