Пред­став­ле­на ин­фор­ма­ция о сущ­но­сти пал­ли­а­тив­ной по­мо­щи как ме­ди­цинской и со­ци­аль­ной де­я­тель­но­сти, основ­ной це­лью ко­то­рой яв­ляет­ся улуч­ше­ние ка­че­ства жиз­ни па­ци­ен­тов и их се­мей. Под­чер­ки­ва­ет­ся ак­ту­аль­ность пал­ли­а­тив­ной по­мо­щи в ге­ри­а­трии. Опи­са­ны раз­лич­ные ор­га­ни­за­ци­он­ные фор­мы ока­за­ния пал­ли­а­тив­ной по­мо­щи па­ци­ен­там по­жило­го и стар­че­ско­го воз­рас­та.

The study provides information about the nature of palliative care as medical and social activities, which main purpose is to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Highlights its actuality in the development of palliative care in the geriatrics sphere. In recent years the index of demographic in senescence is growing. The study describes the different institutional forms of palliative care in elderly and people of senile age with progressive somatic diseases in multidisciplinary hospitals: the department of multidisciplinary hospitals, geriatric home, mobile hospice’s teams.
